Editorial On The Eleventh Lang Lang Show n'Shine 2024
The eleventh Lang Lang Show n' Shine and Swap Meet was held on Sunday 11th February 2024.
Yet again the Show n Shine car show proved to be a very popular and successful event.
It was great to see so many current members, past members and volunteers, neighbouring Rotarians and community groups contributing to this years Show n Shine car event. It demonstrates that we can bring together many local community groups for a common goal. It is a wonderful event for so many people.
Over 600 cars were displayed and over 3000 attendees.
Such events do not occur without precise preparation and efficiency.
For this we thank Jan and Rosemary Kruizinga and family, Rudy De Jong, Sam and Judy Loughridge, Bob and Di Comber, Hayden and Judy Giles, and many other supporters, male and female, who worked tirelessly up front and also behind the scenes.
The club had a wonderful contingent of workers. It was great to see new members Michele and Robbie Hird in action
and also Casey and Megan as well. Also George Anastasios, Alan Laughton, Laura Healey, John and Val Williams and Brian Candy as well as Kirsty Caldwell for her work on keeping our social media updated.
We thank them all! We also acknowledge the Lang Lang Show committee for providing the Showgrounds for the occasion.
Well done to all; a great team effort- a day of satisfaction , fun and laughs.
Planning has already begun for yet another stellar event in 2025, hope to see you there.
